It's about BLOODY time!!

Hello Everyone! I just realized that it's been forever since my last post.

This past weekend we took a mini-vacation away from Brisbane a couple hours up the coast to a surf town called Noosa. We left on thursday because both of my tutorials were cancelled, and it's a good thing we did because even though it's a 1.5 hour drive up the coast it's a 4 hour journey on public transportation. We left our apartment and jumped on a bus to the city, where we got onto a train, and then back onto a bus in Nambour and finally arrived in Noosa after 4. But it only cost us $8.50 and you can't beat that price.

Once we finally got there we were picked up by our hostel's shuttle and driven around the town. We went to the Noosa National Forest where we saw a koala chilling up in a tree..probably stoned out of his mind. They actually get high off the eucalypts leaves and that's why they sleep all day. Then we checked into our hostel and met our two new roommates since we were in a 7 bed dorm and there were only 4 of us girls. Then we headed down to the main beach and swam a bit and then walked around the shops. We went out that night with our two roommates Brett and Nick. Brett was from Canada and Nick was from London.

The next day we went to the Noosa National Forest and walked around on the trails there for the better part of the day. It was absolutely beautiful and I'll add pictures when I'm done with this blog. When we got back we had two new roommates. Alex who was from Switzerland and Won Seock...who was from Korean and didn't speak ANY english. He had just gotten to Australia to go to language school. That is one of the reasons why we love staying in Hostels, you meet people from all over the world and learn about so many different cultures. Our friend Stuart, the boy we stayed with in Sydney, flew in Friday night and we all went out that night...even Won Seock!!! It was a lot of fun wathcing everyone try to talk to him. I'm sure he thought we were all crazy. Once I told him I was half Japanese he seemed to want to talk to me more than they rest of them. :)

The next morning we got up pretty early and rented surfboards and went to the beach. Stuart is a surf instructor and helped everyone learn how to surf and it was a lot of fun. The beach was beautiful and there were a lot of really good surfers there. A boy I met the night before met up with us at the beach, which was a lot of fun. After we were all dead tired from being in the sun all day we decided to head back to the hostel. We went out again that night, and I hung out with Nathan.

Sunday night we headed back to Brisbane and four hours later we were back at our apartment.

Well I'm bloggeed out for right now. I'm just about done packing for New Zealand, which I leave for tomororw night. So the next blog should be pretty exciting!!

Love and miss you all.
