It's been too long.

I know it's been a while. But now I have a paper due in a week and when better to write a blog then when I should be writing a paper. But to be fair it isn't due for a week and it's halfway done and I am actually enjoying writing about it. Imagine that.

First off, well I guess it isn't first anymore since I've already rambled a bit but none the less. Thank you for the birthday wishes!! It was really nice to hear from you.

Now to the birthday celebrations. For my birthday dinner I decided that I wanted to go out for sushi. So me and a few of my roomies along with our boys from downstairs and a couple other friends went to a sushi bar. It was a sushi train place where the sushi rides around on a conveyor belt. Pretty sweet if you ask me. Especially since it's pretty busy and the turnover of the sushi is good so you know it hasn't been there since the morning. When I told Jeremy we were going to sushi train place he thought it was really cool we were going to ride around the city in a train eating sushi..so he might have been let down when we got there. Some of them had never eaten sushi before so it was nice of them to suck it up for my birthday and I was sure to point out the lesser fishy of the sushi. This is the kind I usually eat you know the chicken teryaki rolls and tempura rolls but I figured since I was 20 now (I know I'm old, and you all remember me in diapers) I would try REAL sushi. So I had some raw fish sushi along with my regulars and I really enjoyed it. I know I'm getting so mature...that's what you think. It was a lot of fun, we could get Dylan to eat anything we wanted to, pretty much we pointed at the most disgusting looking ones and he ate them. And then watching Auston use chopsticks was HILARIOUS. He actually was using both hands and stabbing the sides of the sushi, don't worry I got a pic, and then jeremy told him he could just use his hands and ruin all the fun. Matt, our Aussie Salsa buddy, also came. He had never had wasabi before and figured we were exagerrating when we told him it was really hot as he smeared it all over his sushi. He face after he ate it was priceless. Then after sushi we went bowling. It was a lot of fun, definetly the nicest bowling alley i've been to. Big screens at the end of the lanes, leather couches, black lights and fun music. I talked a lot of smack before hand about my bowling skills and looked like an idiot when I got 4 straight gutter balls. These lanes must not be regulation sized!!! But don't worry I slowly improved the first game after pouting, and kicked butt the second round and beat everyone. Overall I had a fantastic birthday with great friends.

Now you may think the celebration was over, but you are sadly mistaken. The best was yet to come. There is a nightclub in Brisbane, which is pretty popular and well known and I wanted to conquer it for my birthday. So we got all dressed up and went there on the sat. following my birthday. It was soooooo much fun. After waiting a bit to get in we were inside and tearing up the dance floor. There was four levels and a lot of fun. The music was different to any other club I've been to because it was house/dance/techno which meant no lyrics, but we still shook what our mama gave us. I can't really explain the place but the pictures will give you more of an idea. Another great night with great friends.

Birthday celebration over. I'm 20 now. Woah. And no that doesn't make you old just because I'm 20 and once again you remember me in diapers...well maybe it does....kidding. :)

Hmm classes are finished. Kind of a weird system. Finals don't start till the 10th and they last for 2 weeks, but you have like a week or so off before them. But since I don't have a final till the 21st...then I have no class or anything until then..which means I am lovin life. I had an art final that I needed to get a 4 out of 3o last week. I think it's safe to say I got it.

Went back down to Byron this weekend, which was one of the places we stayed when we were homeless. Stayed with Stu in his mom's holiday house, so it was nice not having to pay for a hostel. And even though it is winter here, we went to the beach and tanned every day. So it was a nice relaxing vacation away from Brisbane.

Going up to Noosa this weekend to visit my friend Nathan.
The World Cup starts this Saturday and I am sooooooooo excited. Like you don't even know.

Oh and I got tickets to the State of Origin Rugby game, which is pretty much an allstar game between Queensland and New South Wales, based on where the players were born. Tickets were pretty hard to get but I got them. Nathan and his friend are coming down for it, so it should be a good time.

Ok well that is what's been happening..I'll add things if I remember.

Love and miss you all.
